Darryl Hood Biography

Darryl Hood is an American Emmy Award-winning anchor currently working at ABC 32 where he serves as a weeknight anchor. He joined the ABC 32 News team in October 2014.

He joined Birmingham High School in 1988 and graduated proudly in 1992. Later on, he joined the California State University in Northridge, and in 1996, he graduated proudly.

Hood is a weeknight anchor for ABC 32. In addition to his role in the station, he is a member of the Alabama News Network i-Team investigative unit.  He has served as a news anchor and reporter for over twenty years and during this time he has won many awards.

Hood had already known his line at the age of 16 years in news reporting on television. He was assisted by his friends, family, and guidance of some counselors where he managed his dream to have good memorable events in the business. He started his profession as a reporter for the Orange County Newschannel (OCN) in Orange County, California, before qualifying from California State University Northridge.

Beginning with OCN, he was employed as a weekend reporter for KQTV in St. Joseph Missouri. He again took a risk on Las Vegas and he used up five years as an anchor and reporter. Adhering to his duties in Sin City, he got a chance to report for the desired station, KCAL-TV in Los Angeles, which granted him a chance to report for KCALs sister’s station KCBS-TV.

Hood afterward went to report for KCNC-TV in Denver, Colorado, and behind time went back to Los Angeles to anchor LA This Week for LA CityView Channel 35. He has as well employed by Tennessee, Columbia, South Carolina, and Memphis. During his leisure time, he enjoys salsa dancing, hanging out with friends, and traveling. He sometimes discloses and draws all the River Region has not given and comes across many of you and narrates your stories by the way.
