David Bodden Biography

David Bodden is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for FOX 35/ WOFL-TV since April 2019. Prior to that, he served as a reporter and anchor for Spectrum Network News 13 in Orlando, Florida for four years.

Bodden serves as an anchor and reporter for FOX 35. He is a New Jersey native but has traveled the country reporting for television stations in Kansas City, Missouri, Atlanta, Georgia, and of course, the Sunshine State. From 2000 to 2005 he worked for WSB as a reporter before moving to Fort Myers Broadcasting Company’s WINK News where he served as a reporter from October 2009 to July 2014. Later he moved to Spectrum Networks News 13 from June 2014 to the beginning of 2019, working as a news anchor and reporter.

He has covered a lot of interesting stories during his career from the capture of the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Park bomber to deadly hurricanes to the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub. The great execution of his work and dedication has earned him multiple Associated Press awards.

Among the awards he has received are;

• The Associated Press was the Best Staff Coverage by Georgia Associated Press Broadcaster Association in 2004.
• He was also recognized by the National Academy of Television Art and Sciences as the Emmy award winner for the television news excellence Spot News/ Breaking News Coverage in 2005
