David Eigenberg is an American actor best known for his long-running role on the HBO series Sex and the City, and for his role as Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann, on NBC’s Chicago Fire. Homicide: Life on the Street, where he portrayed a copycat sniper, was Eigenberg’s first recurring role before he acted in The Practice.

His character had taken the daughter/sister of Michelle Lee from his homeland, Amanda, and forced her to work for him, and in the 6th episode of “Dagger,” he was killed in a stand-off between himself, Lee, and Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

As Steve Brady, Miranda Hobbs’ on-and-off-again boyfriend, and eventual husband, Eigenberg has had a recurring role in the Sex and The City series of HBO. In 2009, episode 13 of the Cold Case “Breaking News” appeared in Season 6. In 2010, he appeared in the Season 5 episode of Criminal Minds entitled “Parasite” as Agent Russell Goldman.

He appeared in Castle Season 3 in March 2011, like Peter Connelly, in the episode “One Life to Lose” He was featured in a Law & Order episode entitled “Strange Beauty” published on 16 May 2012: Specific victim unit. Eigenberg was appointed senior firefighter and lieutenant Christopher Herrmann in the fall of 2012 by NBC’s Chicago Fire.
