David Kersh Biography
David Kersh is an American interior designer and former Country music artist who made his debut in 1996. He alongside his wife Kerry won the HGTV TV show, Battle on the Beach and was awarded a $50,000 cash prize. Kersh and his wife are also co-owners of Kersh Design Company.
David Kersh Music Career
Kersh is a former country music artist who gained fame back in the late 1990s. As of June 2022, he and his wife Kerry are the co-owner of Kersh Design Company. His music career started in his early 20s while he was still working at several dance halls in Texas and was also the lead singer for the house band at Dance Across Texas in Austin.
In 1996, he was signed in by Curb Records, and his debut album, Goodnight Sweetheart, was also released. His album also had the number three single “Another You” which was written by Brad Paisley. In 1998, he released his second album by the name of If I Never Stop Loving You. The album’s lead-off single was also a No. 3. The album also featured “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out”, which was co-written by Chris Cagle.
In 1999, David posed shirtless in Playgirl magazine and later on put his career on hold because of the strain on his vocal cords. He officially publicized that he has left the Country music industry for good in 2005 and said,” heart is just not in the music business anymore.

Kersh alongside his wife Kerry was on the first season of summer programming, Battle on the Beach. The couple emerged winners and walked away with $50,000. In the competition, Kerry and David were assisted by Taniya Nayak who guided them and gave them extra help and advice throughout the competition.
The show premiered on July 11, 2021, at 9 p.m. ET/PT and executed a renovation task every week so as to impress the famous judges, Mike Holmes as well as Mina Starsiak Hawk. Throughout the competition, the contestants renovated living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor spaces, and more to reimagine tired sand shacks into enviable beachfront bungalows.
