David Muir (full name – David Jason Muir) is an American journalist who is best known for anchoring ABC World News Tonight. He also co-anchors the ABC News magazine 20/20.
Muir has been passionate about journalism since he was young. He used to watch ABC News’ flagship program every night with his family. He credits Peter Jennings (longtime anchor) as his biggest journalistic inspiration and influence. While in high school, he worked as an intern at WTVH-TV in Syracuse, N.Y. While in college, he got inspiration from a professor who told him he had “the cut of a television newsman.”
Muir also works with ABC broadcast-TV network in N.Y.C. He has worked as a primary substitute news anchor and the weekend news anchor on ABC’s “World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer.” He holds numerous Emmy and Edward R.
