David Young Biography
David Young is a famous American award-winning Journalist working as the Chief Meteorologist at WLNS. There, he is the Chief Meteorologist for the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts on WLNS-TV 6. He joined the station in June 2004. David has been a storm tracker for more than two and a half decades. He has spent time in a range of weather markets including hurricane zones, tornado alley, and snow environments. I’ve served as Chief Meteorologist for KLBK in Lubbock, TX. I was also Weekend Meteorologist for WNCT, as well as WITN in the Greenville/Little Washington, NC market and WTVD.

During that Hurricane, over three feet of rain fell and he will never forget the devastation it felt and the impact it made on himself as a person and a meteorologist. In his career, he has been honored with various awards and nominations including the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, Michigan Regional Emmy Awards, and Michigan Associated Press Media Editors, among others.
