Denée Benton is an American actress and singer best known for her performance as Natasha Rostova in the musical Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 on Broadway in 2016. Her performance earned her a nomination for a Tony Award.

Benton played the role of Peggy Scott in HBO’s The Gilded Age opposite Cynthia Nixon, Louisa Jacobson, Christine Baranski, and Morgan Spector. In 2023, she and the cast received a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Benton starred as Cinderella in Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods at New York City Center in May 2022. In November of that year, she reprised her role, replacing Krysta Rodriguez in the Broadway revival of the show. She starred opposite Joshua Henry, Patina Miller, Stephanie J. Block, Montego Glover, Creel, Brian d’Arcy James, Andy Karl, and Joaquina Kalukango. She left the production on December 24th. In December 2023, it was announced that she would star as Susan in the production of Tick, Tick… Boom! at The Kennedy Center.
