Eddie Garcia is an American meteorologist working for KOB 4 News as the chief meteorologist. In addition, he presents the You Asked 4 It series that shows ever-creative and scientific ways of responding to direct questions from viewers. He joined the station in September 2010 as a general assignments reporter.

Garcia joined Midland College in 2005 when he finished his high school studies. In 2007, he graduated with an Associate’s degree in Communication. Further, he holds a Journalism degree from the University of Texas of The Permian Basin. He received his Meteorology certification from Mississippi State University.

At the age of 17, he began his career working off-screen at KMLM in Midland, Texas, and KEYE in Austin, Texas. When he was 23, he moved to Odessa, Texas where he served KOSA as a news photographer. During his career, he has won many awards for his coverage of weather events like Hurricanes Katrina and Ike, tornadoes, floods, and wildfires. Garcia thinks that experience has been his best teacher, working with some of the greatest meteorologists in the industry and encountering weather firsthand on the field over the past 15 years.
