Elaina Rusk is an American producer, anchor, and meteorologist who is currently working at 17 News. Previously, she worked at 23ABC News where she served as a morning chief meteorologist for a period of thirteen years.

She was chosen by the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters to win the award ”Best News Reporter”. Her most memorable moments stories are live shots from Disneyland, and hiking across the fire with her local crews in Tehachapi, Lake Isabella, and Santa Barbara. She learned to joust in Frazier Park and go live on the Grapevine in the wind, heat, and snow.

Rusk’s family is her role model. Her late father she says is the most genuine and selfless person she ever knew and her mother loves her unconditionally. Her brother Tylor is so generous while her other high-spirited brother nearly always makes drinks come out of their noses at the dinner table.

Rusk is a big fan of the Bears and the San Francisco Giants’ sports teams. Loves listening to Indie rock, and classical. Star Wars, Harry Potter, Inception, and National Treasure are some of her favorite movies. Her interests go to writing, swimming, dancing, storm chasing, and photography. She is a trained ballerina and also a novel writer.

She loves Bakersfield for its hospitality. On weekends she likes sleeping. During her leisure, Rusk goes out with friends to have breakfast downtown or lunch at Luigi’s, shopping, screams at Condors’ games, laughs at the Melodrama, dances Zumba, and walks the dogs.
