Elijah Westbrook is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Reporter/Anchor working for CBS2 New York where he serves the station as a Reporter. He has been working with the station since January 2022.

Westbrook works with CBS New York where he serves the station as a Reporter. The Emmy-Award-Winning Journalist is a proud graduate of Quinnipiac University where he graduated in the year 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. There, he also minored in Marketing. He got his first job working as a News Associate at “CBS This Morning” (now known as “CBS Mornings.”)
Later on, after spending about a year working for the show he got his first on-air job working as a reporter for WROC News 8 in Rochester, New York. While there, he was covering high-profile court cases, and politics and also chased major weather events such as blizzards and flooding.
The year 2019 saw him being hired to work as a morning news reporter before he later became a fill-in anchor for WBFF FOX 45 in Baltimore, Maryland. While there, he exposed political corruption inside city hall. This includes being one of the first to break the news about a scandal that eventually led to criminal charges for former Mayor Catherine Pugh. He has also won an Emmy for his live in-depth reporting on a Black Lives Matter protest in the summer of 2020.
Away from work, he enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching documentaries about infrastructure. A fun fact about him is that he wanted to be a civil engineer and design city neighborhoods prior to pursuing journalism.
Together his family, they are from Harlem, New York City(NYC), and avidly watched WCBS when he was growing up. He states that for him is a full circle moment and dream come true for him to be working with the station. Westbrook is also happy to be reporting in the Big Apple.
