Elizabeth Reaser is an American actress who was born on July 3rd, 1975, in Bloomfield, Michigan, USA. She is the daughter of Karen Davidson and John Reaser. She has three sisters. Her mother married billionaire William Davidson in 1995.
Reaser went to both Avondale High School in Auburn Hills and the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, where she graduated in 1993. After secondary school, she went to Oakland College for one year, then went to the Juilliard School’s Theatrics Division (1995-1999, Gathering 28), where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 1999.

Reaser spent time in an emergency room and observed the behavior of medical professionals as she prepared for her role on Saved. She was named one of Interview magazine’s “14 To Be” emerging creative women in October 2004.
Her performance in Sweet Land earned her a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for “Best Female Lead” and the “Jury Award” at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Reaser was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her frequent guest appearances on the television series Grey’s Anatomy in 2007 and 2008.
Her role as Esme Cullen in the film Twilight and its sequels, The Twilight Saga: 2009’s New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in 2010, and The Twilight Saga, parts one (2011) and two (2012): Twilight. In October 2010, Reaser made an appearance on the CBS legal drama The Good Wife. On Hulu, Reaser made an appearance in Season 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale.
