Ellis Eskew is an American news anchor and reporter currently working for Alabama News Network since October 2012. She serves as the anchor of the 11 a.m., noon, 5 p.m., and, 5.30 p.m. newscast.

Eskew has experience of almost 20 years in the TV news business and has had many different jobs in front and also behind the camera. She started her job in TV in her hometown of Dalton, Georgia. Later long she went to report for stations in Tennessee, Alabama, Chattanooga, and Huntsville, where she anchored and reported for the FOX affiliate.

She got an internship at CNN in Atlanta while she was in her senior year. Eskew has been awarded several times for her work, including ”Best News Anchor” from the Alabama Broadcasters Association. She competed with news anchors from the whole state, in spite of market size, to win this recognition.

One of her memorable stories includes traveling with 100 World War II veterans to Washington, DC to see the war memorials. It was called Honour Flight. She honored telling amazing stories of brave men and women and believed that they truly are The Greatest Generation. Eskew got a chance to fly in a CH-47 Chinook helicopter with the Georgia National Guard Armory to cover their training in Fort Stewart. During her free time, Eskew likes drawing, working with kids, painting, being active in her church and also community, and traveling.
