Elma Aksalic is an American News Anchor working for OAN (One America News) since joining the station in September of 2017 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from The College of Saint Rose.

Aksalic was born and bred in New York. Her passion for journalism blossomed from a very young age – eventually turning that dream into a reality. While behind the desk at One America News, she has reported on major local and international topics. This, includes breaking news coverage, politics, and corresponding with our DC reporters live from Capitol Hill.

During her college career, she completed several internship opportunities, most notably, taking part in a six-week journalism program in Istanbul, Turkey, and an apprenticeship at the United Nations headquarters in New York. There, Aksalic interviewed foreign ambassadors – specifically on international conflicts – and took part in non-profit organizations and events. Aksalic as well reported for her university’s newspaper and held her own radio show covering local news and community outreach.

After graduation, she then went on to work as a Sideline reporter for Spectrum News, covering various sporting events in the tri-state area. During this time, Aksalic as well took part in print journalism, writing stories for the Albany Times Union.

These tasks have allowed her to acquire the skills needed to work behind the scenes and in front of the camera. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends while enjoying all of the simple things life has to offer.
