Emani Payne is a well-known American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working for FOX 56 News in Lexington, Kentucky as a Weeknight Evening News Anchor. She joined FOX 56 in May 2020. She is a Community Out Reach volunteer at Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority. Moreover, she is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Emani is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who enjoys giving a voice to the voiceless. Second, he was the station’s Evening Weekend News Anchor from May 2018 to May 2020. During her time at KCEN TV, he covered several national stories including a judge setting a $4 billion bond, a Killeen police officer’s son fatally shooting his neighbor on camera, and the Twin Peaks biker shootout trials, among others.
From January 2014 to December 2015, she was a News Intern Inside NAU at FOX Sports. She was then a News Intern at NBC Houston KPRC Channel 2 from May 2015 to August 2015. Prior to that, she worked for two years and ten months at NAZ Today in two roles. First, as a News Reporter from August 2012 to May 2015, and second as a News Director from January 2014 to May 2015. From August 2012 to May 2015, she was a Main Anchor/Producer at NazToday News Station. Emani was then a News Intern Reporter/Anchor at KSAT12 from May 2014 to August 2014.
