Emily Finn is an American anchor/writer working for OAN since joining the station in the summer of 2018. At first, she joined OAN as an intern, then she later went back to working full-time as a fill-in anchor and news writer.

Finn graduated early from Central Michigan University in 3.5 years with a B.A. in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and a concentration in Journalism. She gained experience anchoring, field reporting, producing, and video editing for her college news station, News Central 34, where she fell in love with the industry.

At just 22 years old, she was thrilled to begin her career gaining experience with a news network that values credible, unbiased reporting. Finn accredits her educational experiences at CMU, her dedicated professors, and her supportive, loving family for helping her develop a passion to pursue a career in political news reporting while upholding the highest standard of journalistic integrity.

She grew up in metro Detroit and developed a passion for storytelling at an early age. Finn’s journalism career began in print when she worked for her hometown newspaper as a reporter and columnist at just 18 years old. During her college career, she developed an appreciation for the importance of journalism in a democratic society working in front of the camera covering Michigan politics and the 2018 midterm elections. When she’s not working, you can find her traveling (especially to Dublin, Ireland… her most favorite place in the whole world), jamming to some classic rock music, or soaking up the sun at the beach.
