Erin Jenkins is an American journalist working for WNCT as a weekday anchor since she was promoted in July 2024. Before that promotion, she spent 2 years as a weekend anchor. She joined the station in June 2021 as a multimedia journalist.

Jenkins joined the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017 after finishing her finishing her high school education. She studied Communications and Media Studies there until 2018, when she transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In 2021, Jenkins graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her time in Chapel Hill, she was involved with Alpha Delta Pi and Club Softball.
Jenkins anchored and reported for Carolina Week and Sports Xtra, UNC-Chapel Hill’s news and sportscasts. She also worked as a production assistant for the ACC Network. She won an Edward R. Murrow Award in the student excellence for video hard news category.
