Erin Wasson Jewelry
She is a jewelry designer and she manages to be both precious and bold, understated and ornate. She designs jewelry rendered in 14k gold, sterling silver, diamonds, and pearls. She said that as a child, she used to make little jewelry pieces by taking objects apart and putting them back together again differently. She always loved doing that kind of thing as it has ever since her passion ever since she was young.
In an interview, she said that her latest collection came from the idea of an impact, of a meteorite colliding with the surface of the moon that she liked imagining the things a traveler would find there after it happened. She went on adding that her favorite piece was the Crater ring and bangle, with their little crevasses holding diamonds like sparkling moon dust. I really like the idea of the revisiting the idea of sparkle.
Erin Wasson Street Style
Her style has always been laid-back and tomboyish. She wore a head to toe sheer number and managed to look androgynous and cool, rather than overtly sexy. She plays around with a colorful blazer and metallic belt to update basic black pants and a tee and puts on oversized sweaters and cowboy boots for casual yet chic daywear. When cold, she puts on a simple yet classic black coat and pants combo, paired with strappy, pointed heels.
Erin Wasson Home
While in Dallas, she lived above an art gallery where she met many artists. She lives in California, her living room has a finely curated gallery space.

She merges effortless surfer-chic with a rock attitude, and can be found sporting smudged eyeliner and chicly disheveled sun-kissed hair one day and next to nothing the next
Erin Wasson Interview
Erin Wasson on Her Hair, Antique Shopping, and Cooking
Adapted From: elle.com
ELLE: You have such a truly, well-articulated personal style. Can you pinpoint when it really crystallized?
Erin Wasson: My style has always been the same idea. Very free, easy, relaxed, and slightly androgynous.
ELLE: Did it clearly come from somewhere?
EW: I think it came with being from Texas. It’s a laid-back kind of place.
ELLE: And so often we associate Texas with big hair.
EW: Well, it can be. There’s that whole element of the Texas woman, which is amazing, but there’s definitely still a presence of fashion in Dallas, where I grew up. Women really put themselves together, and fashion is so accessible. There’s a lot of shopping there. But I was such a tomboy, I was never intrigued to go that route. I’ve never been a girly-girl, never drawn to things that are fussy. And the older I get, the more basic I get. I look at pictures of the stuff I wore five years ago and am like, “Wow, I was really going there.” I’ve become so simple these days. I like the idea of not looking at trends, not being driven by them. I like what I like and that’s it.
ELLE: Are you a big shopper?
EW: It waivers. I’m always “shopping,” because I think it’s important to know what’s out there. But I shop a lot more for furniture than I do for clothes. I much prefer going to an antique shop full of obscurities.
ELLE: Your apartment must be insane.
EW: I have a ton of stuff in my apartment!
ELLE: How does that simplistic feel carry over into your beauty routine? You seem to keep things very natural.
EW: Totally. I think that’s definitely 15 years in the industry with people fussing over your hair and makeup. When you aren’t working, you really want to emulate the real version of yourself. My hair is wild and free, but I’ve always been told that [straight hair] is more polished, and a more polished version of yourself is a better version of yourself. That it’s more professional. But when I’m not working, I want to be the version of the person that I was born to be. I was born with curly hair. It fits my personality, and it’s totally who I am. I am rough around the edges, and I am not a polished girl.
ELLE: And do you find that you totally forgo makeup when you’re off the clock?
EW: I skip everything because it’s really important. Your skin is your largest organ, and it wants to breathe. There are so many times, like Fashion Week, when you [need to] think about all the stuff your skin and body have absorbed through makeup and products and all this stuff. I’m a big believer in doing what you’ve got to do, but taking a breather when you can.
