Frank Buckley is an American and Emmy Award-winning journalist and author working at KTLA as an anchor for L.A.’s No.1-rated KTLA 5 Morning News.
He is also the host/executive producer of Frank Buckley Interviews, the 30-minute TV show, and podcast, airing on KTLA on weekends, and also available on YouTube and all podcast platforms. Interviews with Frank Buckley include thought-provoking, long-form interviews with newsmakers, interesting or famous individuals, and remarkable things achieved by everyday people.
From CNN, where he was a national reporter, Frank joined KTLA in 2005. Frank has won various awards, including Emmys for hard news reporting, a news special for his Hong Kong handover coverage, and entertainment programming for KTLA’s Rose Parade pre-show co-hosting. He has also received awards from the Los Angeles Press Club, including best documentary for KTLA’s “When Tragedy Strikes: A Survival Guide” and for “Access L.A.” talk / public affairs.

Before KTLA and CNN, Frank reported for KCAL-TV (1992-1999) station in Los Angeles, WXII-TV in Winston-Salem, N.C., and KESQ-TV in Palm Springs. He has also written for the Detroit News and the Los Angeles Times.
Frank often donates his time to community groups and, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is a lifetime member of the JDRF board. He is a member of the U.S.-Japan Committee, a people-to-people diplomacy body, and worked on Japan’s American Delegation of Leadership to Japan in 2006. Frank is also a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In 1987, he graduated from USC with a double major in broadcast journalism and history.
