Weller attended the University of Oklahoma after completing his high school studies at Grayslake Central High School. When he finished his studies, he became a graduate and attained a Bachelor’s degree. Later, he joined Mississippi State University where he studied broadcast meteorology.

Weller works for WJFW as a weekend meteorologist and reporter. He joined the station in November 2015. In 2018, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association awarded him Best Weathercast. The Grayslake native spent his summers at the family lake house near Stevens Point while growing up.
After college, he took a detour and started working in the business world where he served multiple huge cities all over the country. For instance, he worked in Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Phoenix, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.
In late 2013, he decided to pursue a broadcast career and rejoined the school for a Meteorology certification. Further, he took up weather internships at WGBA in Green Bay to add to his prior years-long internships in Oklahoma City. He skis, bikes, hikes, and boats during his free time. Also, he is a licensed pilot and Certified Flight Instructor.
