Glenn Marini Biography

Glenn Marini is an American journalist who serves as WANE 15’s Sports Director in July of 2008 and is proud to call Fort Wayne home.

Glenn Marini Career

Glenn was twice awarded “Best Sportscast” by the Indiana Broadcasters Association while working at WANE 15, including in 2017 for the “Highlight Zone.” Among his many honors, he received the Associated Press’ top prize in the state for sports videography in 2014 and 2016, as well as the Bob Parker Award for his baseball coverage in 2016.

Glenn spent three years as the sports director at KAIT-TV (ABC) in Jonesboro, Arkansas, before moving to Fort Wayne. Glenn received many Associated Press accolades while in Jonesboro, including the state’s “Best Documentary” for his series on NASCAR icon Mark Martin. He previously worked for WKAG in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, as a sports anchor.

Glenn is a native of Muncie, Indiana, and a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a magna cum laude degree. His family still lives in Muncie with both of his parents having worked at Ball State University. Glenn enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and attending as many baseball games as possible while he is not at work. He’s also a fantastic ping-pong player. He made his professional basketball debut with the Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters, scoring two points in the process before retiring due to general pain and a lack of talent.
