Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi is an American entrepreneur and television personality who is best known for starring on “Shahs of Sunset” Bravo’s reality TV series.

While attending high school, G.G. was an accomplished gymnast and trained for placement on the U.S. Olympic team competing in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. After deciding she did not want to pursue a career as an amateur or professional athlete, she graduated from high school and went on to pursue a degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

G.G. received her certification in addiction treatment counseling and went on to help establish a halfway house to help people struggling with alcohol and drug dependency. A self-professed fashion diva and shopaholic, she began designing a collection of couture. Gharachedaghi launched “GG’s Extensions”, a brand of hair extensions, with her sister Leila.

She shared an update on her battle with RA while pregnant in a recent Instagram post that featured a video of her receiving an IV infusion to treat her condition. “So many of my fellow warriors and followers have been asking about my status with rheumatoid arthritis while being pregnant… My situation took a bit of a turn for the worst.

It took me a long time to get my body healthy so I can get pregnant and last year, I was in superb shape, so I went [through] with IVF and got pregnant. Summer of last year I was finally pregnant but I was faced dead-on with a series of unfortunate events,” she shared in the caption to the post. “I’ll keep it short because it will all be on this coming season of Shahs of Sunset, but let’s just say that the pregnancy was lost and I ended up in the ER undergoing emergency surgery to remove both of my fallopian tubes.”

According to her rep, she named her son Elijah Javad Gharachedaghi. “The baby arrived last night in Los Angeles at 8:50 p.m., 6.5 pounds, 19.5 inches,” her rep tells E! News. “Everyone is doing great and Golnesa is beyond excited to be a mom and start this new adventure.”
