Grace Rodriguez Biography
Grace Rodriguez is an American journalist working for WJCL as a multimedia journalist since joining the station in June 2025. Previously, she worked as a newsroom fellow at Spectrum News 13 Orlando.
Grace Rodriguez Education
Rodriguez joined the University of Central Florida in June 2022 after receiving her International Baccalaureate diploma from Coral Gables Senior High School. In May 2025, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Electronic Journalism and a Minor in Spanish.
While in college, Rodriguez was active with UCF’s broadcast news program as a tech volunteer, anchor, and reporter. She also gained her experience as an intern at WESH 2 in Orlando, where she refined her skills and contributed to the broadcast of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics live from Universal Studios Orlando.

Rodriguez works for WJCL as a multimedia journalist. In this role, she reports during the 4, 5, and 6 p.m. shows from Wednesday to Sunday. She is fluent in English and Spanish and looks forward to using her knowledge of culture and language to expand her reporting.
The Miami native found he rpassion for news when she was young, preferring to read newspapers over finishing book reports and enjoying local and national broadcasts with her parents. She was actively involved with the Girl Scout troop while growing up, earning Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. She first came to Savannah in March of 2014 with her Girl Scout troop to visit the organization’s birthplace, had a meal at The Olde Pink House, walked along Forsyth Park, and enjoyed a cone of peanut butter ice cream at Leopold’s.
