Grant Napear is an American sports radio host born in Syosset, NY, United States. He is as well a play-by-play announcer for the NBA. Napear currently works at KHTK Sports 1140 in Sacramento, CA, where he hosts The Grant Napear Show.

Napear graduated from Syosset High School in 1977 and pursued a degree in broadcast journalism from Bowling Green University since he lived in Syosset, New York. During his spell at the school, he played collegiate lacrosse. Napear serves on the board of the Future Foundation of Sacramento, a foundation providing college scholarships for deprived youth.

Napear incorporates a part in his radio show called “Grant’s Rant,” in which he exclaims into the mic about everyday things that piss him. For example, he carefully broke down all that is not right with stoplights at freeway on-ramps. Napear’s most popular trademark expression when calling Kings’ games is, “If you don’t like that, you don’t like NBA basketball.”
