Griffin Haas is an American journalist working for NEWS10 ABC as the sports director since October 2022. He joined the station as a sports anchor and reporter after working in Elmira.

Haas joined Ithaca College when he finished his high school studies. He later graduated and received a Bachelor’s degree in Television/Radio. While in college, he worked for SportsNet New York, the Academy of Country Music, and ABC NewsOne. During his time at the Academy of Country Music, he interviewed Darius Rucker. He played football and lacrosse in high school.

His career started when he worked in Horseheads, New York at WENY as a producer and anchor for the “Good Morning Twin Tiers Weekend” show. Later, he climbed the ranks to work as WENY’s sports director. In this capacity, he shared stories of the local athletes in the Twin Tiers for three years.
Aside from broadcasting local high school, Haas went to Atlanta where he broadcasted Super Bowl 53 and anchored a live show from Watkins Glen International before their annual NASCAR race. Also, he reported from the U.S. Open of golf.
