Gulstan Dart Biography
Gulstan Dart is an American Reporter/Anchor working for KCRA 3 News serving the station as an Evening Co-anchor for the 5, 6, and 11 PM News alongside Kellie Dem and Edie Lambert. Prior to this, he was working as a Morning and Noon Anchor for KIRO-TV in Seattle since the year 2003.

Dart works with KCRA 3 News where he serves the station as an Evening Co-anchor. Prior to moving to Seattle, he was co-anchoring the 5 PM award-winning and top-rated newscast at WSB-TV in Atlanta. Previously, he was also reporting from the scene of major stories at MSNBC as a news show host and news anchor. Asides from this, his duties also crossed over to the NBC Network where he was working as a newsreader for NBC’s Weekend Today Show. He also contributed to NBC Weekend Nightly News.
Dart has also developed an important connection to the West Coast as an Anchor-Reporter at the NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon, and Medford, Oregon. He has also been on the front line of national breaking news including forest fires in Oregon and Florida, national politics, and hurricanes.
Dart supports a variety of charities including the March of Dimes, which is near and dear to his heart as he and his wife lost a child to a birth defect in 1998. Gulstan supported other charities in the Seattle area. Gulstan is a past board member of the Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club.
He has won Regional Emmy Awards for investigative reporting and writing. Asides from this, he has also won other AP awards for reporting and spot news coverage. He also supports a variety of charities which include the March of Dimes, which happens to be near and dear to his heart as he and his wife lost a child to a birth defect in 1998. Asides from that, he has supported other charities in the Seattle area which include Rotary Club, Children’s Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association and Highline Community College, and Lupus Foundation.
Being the first person in his family to graduate from College, he talks to students about his career path and gives them encouragement to succeed in school and life. He is a proud graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington. Dart is honored to help carry on the KCRA 3 tradition of journalism excellence, and his family is excited to be in Sacramento.
