Heather Mathis is an American meteorologist working for WTVF as a meteorologist and co-host of Talk of the Town since joining the station in August 2017. Previously, she worked for WAAY in Huntsville, Alabama for 3 years.

Mathis finished her education at Mt. Juliet High School before joining college. She attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 2007 and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies. Further, she worked as a weather anchor at MTSU’s student-run TV station during college. She received a Bachelor Of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

She worked in Jackson for 2 years before she moved to Huntsville, Alabama where she served WAAY. At WAAY, she wore multiple hats including meteorologist, executive producer, and reporter.
