The campaign would become the famous station brand known for community service throughout the Tampa Bay region.
She served as the initial reporter to break the story about thousands of impromptu fires in Kia and Hyundai vehicles. Further, she investigated the cause of the fires which led to national attention. As a result, automakers recalled more than 1 million vehicles.
During her career, she has received a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award and four Regional Emmys. Further, she has worked at TV stations in Gainesville, Orlando, and Tampa during the past 20-plus years. Her broadcast career started when she was at the University of Central Florida.
