She has also worked as a breaking news reporter and anchor for CBS affiliate WISH-TV in Indianapolis, IN, as an evening anchor for CBS WSEE in Erie, PA, and as a producer for Associated Press Television in Washington, DC.

Policastro has served as a Paul Miller Washington Fellow, Kneeland Fellow, a fellow with the International Women’s Media Foundation, and NAB Professional Fellow. She is as well a member of the Poynter Institute’s Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media and has also served as an executive board member of the Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association.
