Jake Garcia is an American journalist of Hispanic descent working for WTIC FOX61 as a reporter. He joined the station in February 2023. Previously, he worked for KIVI in Boise, Idaho as a weekend anchor and reporter.

Garcia joined West Texas A&M University in 2010 after he completed his high school education. In 2011, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communications.

Garcia works for WTIC FOX61 as a reporter. He joined the station in February 2023. Previously, he worked for KIVI in Boise, Idaho as a weekend anchor and reporter. He has broadcasted many significant stories during his time in Idaho. For example, he broadcasted the killing of four University of Idaho students which attained nationwide attention. Also, he broadcasted the pre-trial court case of Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow.
As a reporter, Garcia broadcasted the Idaho Supreme Court, Idaho Legislature, and public corruption including investigations into multiple police units and the apprehension and case of a previous Idaho lawmaker sentenced to rape.
Before working in Boise, he worked in Wichita Falls, Texas at KAUZ as a morning and midday anchor for three years. Also, he worked as a reporter concentrating on court lawsuits and crime. During his time in Wichita Falls, he was well-known as a leader in the local Hispanic community where he emceed the yearly Hispanic Leadership Banquet and Dia De Los Muertos festival.
Prior to Wichita Falls, Garcia worked at three local stations in Amarillo, Texas in various positions including fill-in anchor, reporter, editor, and producer. He serves as a member of the National Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
