James Gilbert Biography
James Gilbert is an American meteorologist working for WROC as the Sunrise meteorologist and reporter since joining the station in January 2017. Previously, he worked as a weekend meteorologist and reporter for WCAV, the Charlottesville Newsplex in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Gilbert joined Oswego State University in 2009 after finishing his high school education. In 2013, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology along with a minor in Mathematics. While in college, he was involved with the storm chase program, where he chased storms for two weeks throughout the Midwest to get a true experience of weather firsthand. He also worked as a meteorologist intern at 13 WHAM in Rochester, New York. Moreover, he was a morning meteorologist and reporter for TV 3 Winchester in Winchester, Virginia.
