Jamie Boll is an American journalist working for WBTV as a co-anchor of WBTV News at 5 and 6 p.m. since January 2019. Also, he has worked as an anchor of On Your Side Tonight airing at 7: 30 p.m. since April 2018. He joined the station in March 2015 as the 5:30 pm anchor and an investigative reporter. Previously, he worked for WWMT as an anchor at 5:30, 6, and 11 p.m. and as the managing editor.

He has worked in the broadcasting industry for more than 3 decades after starting his career in 1988 while he was still a college student. He started working as a part-time sports photographer, in which he primarily shot high school sports highlights. After he graduated, he worked as a news producer before he was promoted to work as a reporter and weekend anchor.
In 1993, he relocated to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he served WWMT as a weekday morning anchor. A few years later, he was promoted to anchor the station’s 5:30, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts while serving as the newsroom’s managing editor.
During his reporting career, he has traveled nationwide including Arizona where he covered the immigration effects on the Carolinas. Also, he went to India to cover the outsourcing of high-tech jobs. Before that, he went to Honduras after Hurricane Mitch and Albania and Kosovo to broadcast the Balkan war.
Boll has several awards during his career for his journalism. In 2018, he was named News Anchor of the Year by the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. The previous year, he won an Emmy Consumer Investigative Reporting Award. Several times, the newscasts he co-anchored were named best in the state. Moreover, he has attained numerous individual awards for his reporting.
