Jane Robelot is an American journalist working for WYFF News 4 as co-anchor of WYFF News 4 at 4 since 2017. Additionally, she hosts and produces the“CommUNITY Conversation series which concentrates on diversity and inclusion in the community. She joined the station in January 2007 as a contributing reporter and anchor of the news magazine Chronicle.

Robelot joined the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University in 1978 when she finished her high school education. In 1982, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Economics. In 2016, she studied at the Riley Institute at Furman University.

Upon joining the station, she first worked as a contributing reporter and anchor for the news magazine Chronicle.
Recently, in April 2024, she was inducted into the inducted in the South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame. Further, she received the prestigious Masters Award from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association (SCBA) in January 2024. In 2009, she won the prestigious Peabody Award while working with the WYFF News 4 team that produced Chronicle: Paul’s Gift.
Robelot’s career started in radio before she moved to TV at WSPA. In 1990, she joined WCAU in Philadelphia as an anchor and reporter. She then moved to CBS News in New York City in 1995 where she was the national anchor on “CBS Morning News.” Later on, she was promoted to co-host “CBS This Morning.”
While at CBS News, Robelot broadcasted important events including The demise of Princess Diana, Pope John Paul II’s unforgettable visit to Cuba, The Oklahoma City Bombing, and the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan. There, she won two National Emmy Awards for journalistic excellence and a nomination for a National Emmy Award.
Robelot then relocated South where she served WGCL in Atlanta as an anchor for the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts. In 2006, she returned to Greenville to debut a video production company and studio named Carolina Zoom Productions.
Volunteering and Community Work
Away from broadcasting, she has co-hosted the Florida Citrus Sports parade in Orlando and moderated a panel discussion for the World Bank in Washington, DC. In recognition of her community work and professional work, she received the Clemson University Alumni Association’s Distinguished Service Award, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Leadership Award, and Clemson University’s Spiro Institute’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The Greenville Cultural Exchange Center gave her the “Women Making History” Award.
Robelot was inducted into the Greenville County Schools “Hall of Fame” and is a Riley Fellow. Also, she serves as a member of the Greenville Professional Women’s Forum and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She served on Clemson University’s President’s Advisory Board and was a founding member of its Board for the Center for the Visual Arts
