Jann Carl Small Town Big Deal

Small Town Big Deal is an American television news magazine co-hosted by Rodney K. Miller and Jann Carl. The program runs in first-run syndication with a focus on human interest stories in rural America. The show was first aired on September 6, 2012, on the RFD-TV cable network.

To put a spin on a popular saying about Las Vegas, what happens in a small town stays in a small town. That’s because small cities and towns across America often get lost in the mainstream media that focuses on major metropolitan areas like New York and Los Angeles. “Small Town Big Deal” tries to change that by telling the stories of innovation, tradition and success that are happening in rural places. Episodes cover small-town residents having an impact on others through their actions and notable businesses, including the Frankenmuth, Mich., retail store that is considered the world’s largest Christmas store.
