Jarred has played a key role in providing live coverage for Hearst Television stations throughout his career which includes Hurricane Florence in Wilmington, and the memorial of the Rev. Billy Grham in the District of Columbia. Asides from this, he also covered the shooting at the congressional baseball practice in Virginia, Alexandria, and the upstate New Yorn prison escape.  Prior to joining Hearst Television, he had spent about two years working as a reporter for WMDT-TV covering news in Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland.
