Jason Brewer Biography

Jason Brewer is an American meteorologist working for Boston 25 News where she appears on the Boston 25 Weekend Morning newscasts. She has been working for the station since January 2015. Previously Jason served as a meteorologist for WESH-TV in Orlando.

Jason Brewer Education

Brewer graduated from Baylor University where he acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in earth science with minors in environmental studies and Spanish. He later furthered his studies at Metropolitan State College of Denver where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology.

Brewer appears on the Boston 25 Weekend Morning newscasts. Prior to joining Boston 25 News, he worked at WESH-TV, and before that he forecasted at KPRC-TV in Houston. He joined KPRC from Raleigh-Durham, N.C. at WTVD-TV. He also served at KOSA-TV in Odessa, Texas before going to Raleigh-Durham, N.C.

During his childhood, he spent most of it in Connecticut where his first weather memories were created. “I remember Hurricane Gloria passing by and the look of the sky and the wind left me in awe. Unlike most people, Brewer actually loved staying up late and getting up early whenever a snow day was possible and watching the forecast with high hopes of building a snow fort the next day.

One of the very memorable highlights was covering Hurricane Ophelia when it struck the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Jason says, “Experiencing a category one hurricane gave me a glimpse of what the largest storms on Earth can unleash. Helping people understand the impact the storm would have on their property and their own lives was very rewarding.” When he is not working Jason loves spending time with his wife, Boston 25’s Vanessa Welch, being a Dad, skiing, traveling, music, cooking, hiking, and even golfing when his busy schedule allows.
