Jeff has been working at KPLR-TV for over three decades having first joined the station as an intern. For both stations, he serves as their reporter and anchor on weeknights. Over the years, he has covered some of the biggest news stories in St. Louis including, the COVID-19 pandemic, unrest in Ferguson, Presidential and Vice Presidential debates at Washington University, and the Flood of the Century. Moreover, he has traveled all over the world to report on major events including Hurricane Andrew, the Joplin tornado, and the 1996 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
In 2020, he launched Nexstar’s Missouri Capitol News Bureau. Because of his outstanding reporting, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the St. Louis Journalism Review have recognized Jeff numerous times. In addition, in the past, he served on the board of directors of the National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis (NCCJSTL). This is an organization that fights bias, bigotry, and racism. Moreover, Jeff worked at WSIE-FM as a reporter from September 1987 to October 1989.
