Her notable change there was remaking their Style Guide. Her remake included a section entitled “Jenna’s Picks that showed her opinions, spotlighted her personal clothing, and shed light on her daily life. She organized J.Crew’s brand and style around her trademark style.

In April 2017, she left the firm because of declining sales and financial issues at the firm. After the new chief design officer, Somsack Sikhounmuong took over the brand, he scrapped Lyons’ aesthetic aspects of the brand. Instead, he decided to focus on women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing.
