LaGoo grew up in Minnesota, traveling around the Midwest and selling corndogs in the family food truck. His sense of adventure was instilled in him at a young age, which took him all over the country forecasting weather. Starting in the Midwest, he eventually moved to Portland and then the Philippines, following weather stories around the country before landing in Denver, then Alaska, and finally Spokane.
While in Alaska, LaGoo worked for KTVA in Anchorage where he was serving the station as a morning meteorologist. He was part of an Emmy-award-winning team that broadcast in the aftermath of the magnitude 7.1 earthquake which struck on the 30th of November 2018. When the ground wasn’t shaking, he stayed busy monitoring wildfires, record heat, and the brutal winters of the Last Frontier.
With a passion for weather, LaGoo has been the foundation of Jeremy’s career. Long before he was a meteorologist, he was tracking winter storms moving across the country with the hope of finding fresh snow to ski.
