Jessica Eley is an American sports reporter and anchor working for FOX 35 serving as sports anchor and reporter. Previously, she worked as a digital producer, MMJ, and sports reporter at WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jessica Eley Education
Eley enrolled at Appalachian State University in 2010 where she graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a minor in Media Studies. During her time at ASU, she was a member of the women’s volleyball team and the Black Student Association. She then furthered her studies at Syracuse University where she attained a Master of Science in Digital Journalism with an emphasis in Sports Communication in 2015.

Earlier, Jessica worked in Kansas City, Missouri where she served as a digital producer, MMJ, and sports reporter at WDAF-TV. While there, she reported high-profile news such as KC NWSL, Missouri Tigers, and the Kansas City Chiefs. For her outstanding work, Jessica was recognized by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for her coverage of Single Topic Event.
Prior to joining WDAF-TV, Eley served as a sports anchor and reporter at WRDW News 12 NBC 26 in Augusta, Georgia. In 2019, she was honored for being the “Best Sports Anchor” by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. She served the station from January 2017 to April 2019 where she co-anchored the “Operation Football Live” show.
Jessica previously spent two years working at ALotOfSportsTalk.com as a sports reporter. While there, she covered the 2016 FCS playoffs and basketball NCAA tournaments. She began her journalism career at WABG serving as a weekend sports anchor and reporter from October 2015 to August 2016. As a sports anchor, Eley was in charge of editing, creating, and co-hosting a weekly show called “Football Friday Night”. She also reported significant sports events including local, and regional sports and the SWAC sports events.
Prior to joining WABG News, Jessica worked as a sports intern at WBTV in Charlotte from June 2015 to August 2015. Previously, she worked at KMBC-TV as a sports intern from December 2014 to December 2014. Besides this, she served as an intern at Carter Broadcast Group from June 2013 to August 2013. As an intern, she was responsible for creating the news, writing stories, and planning contest data. In addition, Jessica is a member of NABJ and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
