Jessica Larche Biography
Jessica Larche is an American journalist of African descent working for WTKR as an anchor and reporter on News 3 This Morning and WGNT News. She joined the station in November 2010 and has served the station for more than a decade. Previously, she worked for FOX 40 WDBD as a reporter.

During her time at the Norfolk CBS affiliate, she broadcasted the Hampton Roads cold case kidnappings, and criminal dentists, and shared her personal weight loss journey. On the February 2016 cover of Woman’s Day Magazine’s heart-health issue, she was featured for her 100-pound weight loss journey.
Before Hampton Roads, she worked in Jackson, Mississippi for just about 3 years where she broadcasted breaking news and investigated law enforcement and government. The Mississippi Associated Press recognized her for her investigations into missing fire hydrants and her special reports on the shooting of little Sanaa Hill.
She worked for Tallahassee’s 90.5 radio station as the news director. While there, she documented Hurricane Katrina and the demise of Martin Lee Anderson. For these, she attained multiple William Randolph Hearst Awards.
Also, she made history at FAMU by working as the initial anchor of the FAMU News 20 at Five Live newscasts during the fall of 2007. The New Orleans native serves as a member of the Who Dat Nation where she roots for the World Champion New Orleans Saints from hundreds of miles from home.
She enjoys working as a volunteer in the community working as an ambassador for the Hampton Roads chapter of the American Heart Association. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Hampton Roads Black Media Professionals, and the Urban League of Hampton Roads Young Professionals.
Also, she’s a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
