Jillian Carroll Biography

Jillian Carroll is an American Emmy Award-winning host/reporter/producer working for KC Current in Kansas City, Missouri as a Color Analyst/Host. She joined KC Current in March 2023. Before that, she worked for KSN as the host of a lifestyle show, Good Day Kansas. She joined KSN-TV in January 2019 and departed in January 2023.

In 2002, Carroll joined the University of Northern Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education in 2006. She also studied at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where Jillian graduated in 2015, with a master’s in educational administration and sports administration.

Carroll works at KSN-TV where she serves as the host and producer of its first-ever lifestyle show, Good Day Kansas. Long Island, New York is the native home she was brought up in Leawood, Kansas and she would play every sport including tackle football, soccer, and cheerleading. She also played soccer at the University of Northern Iowa and after she graduated from the University of Missouri, she started her seven-year teaching career.

In addition, Jillian taught for 6 years the third and fourth grades at an inner city elementary charter school known as The Derrick Thomas Academy. After she stepped away from the classroom, she shifted to sports broadcasting and secured a job with the Kansas City Chiefs where she served as their sideline reporter and digital host. While she worked with the Kansas City Chiefs, she earned her first Emmy Award.

Over the years, she has made appearances on CBS, NFL Network, and Fox Sports Midwest while covering the Sporting Kansas City (MLS) and the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) as a broadcast host and sideline reporter. Furthermore, Carroll started her radio career in May 2007, at 610am Sports Radio where she hosted Uno Cero and Jillian Carroll, and as of the moment, she hosts Overtime with Jillian and Chris. She also worked on the CBS affiliate KCTV l5 for 2 years on the station’s lifestyle show known as Better KC.

For six seasons she was a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader representing the NFL and Chiefs locally, nationally, and internationally. Jillian is a proud Ambassador of the NFL and the Chiefs organization in addition to coaching a premiere youth soccer team in the Sporting Wichita Club, which is the local youth affiliate of Sporting Kansas City. In addition, she is a former NCAA D1 soccer player who is passionate about the growth of soccer as she advocates for youth sports. She worked as a Host/Emcee for Wichita State Athletics at Wichita State University.

Furthermore, she is the first-ever Emcee for the Wichita Wind Surge at Riverfront Stadium during the inaugural season as the AA Ball team for the Minnesota Twins. She loves watching as the community fills the stands at Riverfront Stadium as they celebrate having baseball back in Wichita. During her leisure time, she enjoys meeting new people, workout, catching a game, and spending ample time with family and friends.
