John Brown Biography
John Brown is an American anchor, inventor, author, and radio talk show host, working for FOX 35 as an evening news anchor. Previously, he served as an anchor and reporter at KTVI in St. Louis.
John Brown Education
Brown attended East Central College in 1990 where he received an Associate of Arts in Pre-Medical Studies in 1991. After that, he enrolled at Central Methodist University-College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, graduating with a minor in chemistry and a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1994. In 1996, John joined Barry University where he attained a communication degree.
John Brown Career
Brown rejoined WOFL-TV, the FOX 35 affiliate in July 2021 where he serves as an evening news anchor. He joined the station in 2009 working as a co-anchor alongside Amy Kaufeldt on the Good Day Orlando. During his time there, John was awarded several awards including “Best Reporter in Orlando”.
Earlier, John worked at KTVI, FOX 2 in St. Louis where he served as an anchor and reporter. In 2020, he was recognized by the Missouri Broadcasters Association as the best “Best Large Market News Anchor”. On top of this, Brown also hosted a talk radio show on KTRS-AM called John Brown’s Mindset. He served the station for five years and ten months from August 2016 to August 2021.
Prior to working at KTVI-TV, Brown served as a radio talk show host at The Big 550 KTRS in St. Louis. While there, he was in charge of covering significant news including sports events, political affairs, and local issues. John spent the station for three years from 2008 to 2011. Before joining The Big 550 KTRS, he worked as a morning host at The Daily Buzz in Orlando from 2004 to 2006.
Brown started his broadcasting career at KSPR-TV as a news anchor from 1999 to 2004. Later on, he secured a position as a morning show anchor where he hosted a show called The Morning Scoop. After that, he was promoted to evening news anchor for one year from 2003 to 2004. Apart from working as a journalist, John also works as a president at Bib Magnets Company. He is also a public speaker, author of 10 books, radio talk show host, and inventor.
