John Elliott is an American Meteorologist working for WCBS CBS New York as a meteorologist on CBS2 News This Morning and CBS2 News At Noon. He is also a weather host on WCBS Morning News, WLNY News, and CBSN New York, as well as a co-host of The Couch. He joined CBS New York in January 2007 and has served the station for over a decade.

Elliott worked with XETV-TV in San Diego, where he was an anchor on the FOX station’s morning newscasts. Additionally, he worked with KGET-TV in Bakersfield, California, as a morning news anchor. He started working as a weathercaster at WRBL-TV, the CBS affiliate station in Columbus, Georgia, and later at KGET News. Subsequently, he transitioned to news anchoring in Bakersfield.
Elliott has received numerous honors for his news features, weathercasts, and general assignment reporting, including the California Associated Press award for Best Weathercaster. Before launching his broadcasting career, he was an advertising copywriter and producer. Additionally, he taught media courses at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, and Central Missouri State.
