John Mosley is an American Award winning Basketball Coach who is well-known for being East Los Angeles College’s Head Coach of Men’s Basketball. He is also known for being featured in the 2021 season of Last Chance U.
John Mosley Education
Mosley attended East Los Angeles College in the year 1991 and graduated 2 years later with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree in Liberal Studies. In 1994, he joined The Master’s University for a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She graduated from there after 2 years. There she was part of the Men’s Basketball Team. In 1999, Mosley attended National University and graduated 2 years later with a Master of Science in Education. Mosley enrolled at Azusa Pacific University in the year 2015 where he studied Physical Education Teaching and Coaching for a year.

Mosley serves as East Los Angeles College’s Head Coach of Men’s Basketball. He also serves as a Kinesiology Instructor (Faculty) in the same college. He began as a Director of the Male Leadership Academy at East Los Angeles College. Mosley and his ELAC men’s basketball show are featured in the 2021 season of Last Chance U, Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning and critically acclaimed sports docu-series.
He has led the show to 9-successive CCCAA State Playoff appearances. Mosley also works with a program supporting the vision of underrepresented Men of Color, The Male Leadership Academy at ELAC. The show also supports their success at the Community College. During the 2019-20 campaign, Mosley’s team enjoyed their best season in the history of ELAC.
They played for CCCAA State Title and they entered the Championship Tournament with a program-best 29-1 record. The team was ranked ELAC’s highest CCCMBCA ranking ever, the 2nd-best team in the state. The team was also fortunate of winning the South Coast Conference-North title for the 5th consecutive year while dominating all sorts of conference awards.
Mosley was named the SCC Fall Men’s Coach of the Year 2 times; 2019-2020 and 2013-2014. During season 1 of ELAC, Mosley’s team “the Huskies” recorded a remarkable 21-8 record and their first trip to the CCCAA state playoffs in more than 10 years. Mosley also saw 4 second-year university students named All-South Coast Conference. Also, one sophomore was named to the prestigious CCCAA All-State Team.
Before Mosley joined the Huskies, he worked as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for NCAA Division-I California State University Bakersfield for half a decade. He was instrumental and was the recruiting coordinator in the show’s Division I transition. Mosley also worked as a teacher in the Kinesiology Department at CSUB. He has worked as a Career Coach-Career Gameplan Advisor at Athletes to Business. During his free time, he likes hanging out with her family and friends (loved ones).
