Jonathan Conder Biography

Jonathan Conder is an American Emmy Award-winning meteorologist working at KOCO 5 News since October 2013. He serves as the weekday morning meteorologist alongside Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane. Previously, he worked as a Chief Meteorologist at WANE-TV (CBS) in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and as a Meteorologist at Oklahoma City’s KFOR for 5 years.

He uses his severe weather Skills to track storms on First Alert Doppler radar during severe weather reports with Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane. Prior to joining KOCO 5, Conder worked as a Chief Meteorologist for WANE-TV (CBS) in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, as well as a Meteorologist at Oklahoma City’s KFOR for 5 years.

Conder is an Emmy Award-winning meteorologist. He holds the CBM seal from the American Meteorological Society, their highest-level professional certification. Conder was awarded for his weather forecasting and reports with an Oklahoma Associated Press First Place Award for Weather Event Coverage and a Society of Professional Journalists First Place Award for Television Weather Reporting and an Emmy Award for his weather coverage.

Conder is a pilot and a proud happy of the Air National Guard. He was named the 1999 Air National Guard Transportation Airman of the Year for his military service. In 1998, he joined St. Cloud State University where he graduated with a bachelor of applied science in atmospheric science and meteorology in 2001. During his leisure, Conder loves water skiing, camping, lightning photography, fishing, and off-roading in his Jeep Wrangler.
