Jonathan Knight New Kids on the Block

Knight is part of the boy band New Kids on the Block which includes Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and his younger brother, Jordan Knight. From 1986 until 1994, Knight is the oldest member of the band, New Kids on the Block, and the first to leave it in 1994 before their official split.

In the spring of 2008, he returned to show business, reuniting with the other four members of New Kids on the Block. They released their seventh album (and first in 14 years), The Block, on September 2, 2008. They performed live together on May 16, 2008, to confirm their reunion and announce the new album, for the first time in fifteen years on the Today show.

On September 18, 2008, a world tour was scheduled to follow the new release and began in Toronto.  The first single, “Summertime”, performed well worldwide peaking as #9 in Canada and breaking the top 30 in the U.S. charts. In August 2008, they released “Single”, their second single from The Block.

Jonathan Knight Farmhouse Fixer

HGTV has given a series of greenlights to Farmhouse Fixer, featuring Jonathan Knight. The show is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 3 at 9 pm ET/PT on HGTV. The series has six episodes and will feature Knight, who has renovated more than 200 houses over the past 27 years, as he carefully preserves the original craftsmanship and historic charm of classic homes while he also modernizes layouts, updates interiors, and gives his clients endless reasons to cheer.

“Restoring the American farmhouse is not just a hobby for me—it’s my passion, my obsession, and I’ve been doing it for more than 25 years,” said Knight. “It’s so easy to just go knock down an old house. It’s way harder to renovate them so that families can enjoy them for years to come. That’s the reason this work is so worth it.”

To kick off the season, Jonathan will give new life to a 1700s New Hampshire farmhouse with help from his designer and friend, Kristina Crestin. To stabilize the property, he must remove a sinking addition on the home but, on the plus side, Jonathan will convert a backyard tool shed into a stunning potting bench and chicken coop. In future episodes, 02 Jonathan will complete custom renovations for additional old homes, including creating an enviable chef’s kitchen and a built-in seating area for a large dining room.
