Jordan Darensbourg Biography

Jordan Darensbourg is an American Meteorologist working with KVUE News in Austin, Texas where he serves the station as a Weekend Evening Meteorologist. He has been working with the KVUE News team since April 2022. 

Jordan Darensbourg Education

Darensbourg is a proud graduate of Jackson State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology. Asides from this, he attended Mississippi State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with a broadcast emphasis.

Jordan Darensbourg Career

Darensbourg works with the KVUE Storm Team serving the station as a Weekend Evening Meteorologist. Prior to KVUE, he was working at the station’s sister station, KCEN in Temple, Texas. Jordan worked with KLCEN between November 2020 and May 2022. While he was at KCEN, he covered many crazy weather phenomena. These include the Salado EF3 Tornado in April 2022, and the February 2021 winter storm.

Darensbourg kick-started his career working at WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia in December 2018. There, he was serving the station as a morning meteorologist. While there, he covered different weather events which include the region’s many winter storms and the heaviest rainfall.

Jordan is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists’ Weather & Climate Task Force, and the American Meteorological Society. Away from work, she enjoys hanging out at Zilker Park, singing in his church choir, and watching his beloved Atlanta sports teams: Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta United, Atlanta Falcons, and the 2021 World Champion Atlanta Braves.

Asides from this, he enjoys spending his free time sampling Texas barbeque. Being a soccer fan, he is a proud supporter of Manchester United and Austin FC.  He has Asperger’s, a rare form of autism. Darensbourg also uses this diagnosis to inspire others to go after whatever it is they set their mind to.
