Josh Johns Biography
Josh Johns is an American meteorologist working for KXXV/KRHD as a morning meteorologist since March 2021. He joined the station in June 2019 as a weekend evening meteorologist. Previously, he worked for KLST/KSAN in San Angelo as the chief meteorologist for nearly 2 years.

Johns joined Texas A&M University in 2011 when he finished his high school education at Cleburne High School. In 20115, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology. During college, he worked as an intern at KTVT in Fort Worth and KWTX in Waco. At KWTX, he debuted on-air debut as an intern.

Johns has worked for KXXV/KRHD as a morning meteorologist since March 2021. Upon joining the station, he first worked as a weekend evening meteorologist. His fascination for the weather can be traced back to Cleburne, Texas where he experienced severe weather and decided to be a broadcast meteorologist.
After graduating college, Johns started his career with a brief tenure at KRGV in Weslaco, Texas. He then worked as a substitute teacher in Cleburne while filling in at KFDX in Wichita Falls. In March 2016, joined KLST in San Angelo as the weekend meteorologist.
During his time in San Angelo, Johns enhanced broadcasts off-screen for the weather team. As a result of his efforts, he was promoted to chief meteorologist at KLST’s sister station KSAN in August 2017. In this role, he helped with broadcasts of Hurricane Harvey at KXAN.
While at KSAN, Johns broadcasted many severe weather occasions, especially tracking several EF-2 and EF-3 tornadoes that hit the Concho Valley. For instance, he tracked an EF-2 tornado that tore through San Angelo, missing the station by 2 blocks. As a result of the tornado, there was a power outage that made his team broadcast three additional tornadoes using Facebook Live and whatever assets they could find.
