Joy Redmond is an American Award-winning Anchor and Reporter working for WMC-TV serving as a weekday evening anchor. Before joining WMC-TV in July 2018, she served as a traffic reporter at 19 Action News in Cleveland, Ohio.

Redmond serves as a weekday evening anchor at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts on WMC-TV. She joined the station in July 2018 working as a morning anchor before later accepting a position as an evening anchor in April 2022. Previously, Joy worked as a traffic reporter at 19 Action News in Cleveland, Ohio. She served the station for one year and nine months from January 2010 to September 2011. Before joining 19 Action News, she worked for Westwood One as a traffic reporter from January 2009 to September 2010.
Prior to working at Westwood One, Redmond served as a weekend traffic anchor and reporter at WJBK Fox 2 in Detroit, Michigan. She served the station from May 2009 to July 2010 where she delivered news stories. Joy also spent nearly seven years working for WLBT in Jackson, Mississippi a morning anchor.
She began his career as a weekend anchor, reporter, and general assignment at KQDS Fox 21 in Duluth, Minnesota. While there, Joy was in charge of various roles such as writing stories, interviews, and gathering daily news. She also exposed the truth about teens’ misuse of prescription drugs which won her two Society of Professional Journalists awards. Before working for KQDS, Redmond worked as a customer service representative and trainer at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. During her time there, she managed the call center, trained, and monitored all staff activities.
Previously, she worked at WLNS and WXYZ as an intern where she hosted several cable shows. Apart from being a Journalist, Joy is also involved in community service where she serves as a hostess to college scholarships, fundraising events, and inspirational forums. Besides being a hostess, she is also a mentor to young people.
