Julie Haener is an American anchor on the evening news at KTVU. She is an award-winning anchor for the 5 PM, 6 PM, and 10 PM news segments at KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland, California. She has been working for this station for more than 2 decades

Haener graduated in 1985 after attending Bellarmine High School in Tacoma. She is from the Class of 1989 of the University of Washington, where she obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

After 2 years when her husband was promoted and relocated to Bay Area in 1997, she left KIRO-TV. Currently, she is working as a freelance reporter with KTVU but was offered a full-time position within a few months. In 1998, She was promoted to anchor at the weekend.

When KTVU Channel 2 News was launched in 2000, she co-anchored with Dennis Richmond. She remains with KTVU to this day. She has won several awards since her tenure with KTVU, including 7 Emmy Awards. Some of the other KTVU anchors are; Pam Cook, Alyana Gomez, and Heather Holmes.
